Guest guest Posted August 11, 2000 Report Share Posted August 11, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Barbecue Soybeans Recipe By :Soyfoods Cookery - Louise Hagler Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 cups your favorite barbecue sauce or the sauce below For the Barbecue Sauce: 1 4 oz can tomato paste 1 cup water 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup salad mustard 1 tablespoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon allspice 1/2 teaspoon cracked red pepper, or chipotle to taste 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 cups cooked soybeans 2 tablespoons vinegar Mix all the ingredients, except the beans and the vinegar. Heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer foor 10 miinutes, stir in the beans and vinegar, and simmer until heated through. Description: " Add your favorite barbecue sauce to leftover pressure cooked soybeans, heat, and serve.
