While I admit to an insatiable sweet tooth, I had never thought of sweetened

Brussels sprouts. Tried these last Friday, using a bag of frozen sprouts, and

were they ever good!

Brussels Sprouts with Maple Syrup

3 cups Brussels sprouts

1/4 cup maple syrup

salt

freshly ground black pepper

 

If they need to be trimmed, remove the outer leaves from the sprouts. Cut the

ends off, then slice them into halves and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes in

boiling water until tender. Drain and toss with the maple syrup. Add salt and

pepper to taste.
