Guest guest Posted July 25, 2000 Report Share Posted July 25, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Gloria's Curried Fruit Recipe By :Southern Living Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 15 1/4-ounce can peach halves -- well drained 1 17-ounce can dark sweet cherries -- well drained 1 20-ounce can pineapple chunks -- well drained 1 15 1/4-ounce can pear halves -- well drained 1 15-ounce can mandarin oranges -- well drained 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 teaspoons curry powder 2 tablespoons lemon juice 3 tablespoons butter or margarine -- cut up Combine fruit in a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish. Stir together brown sugar and curry powder; sprinkle over fruit. Drizzle with lemon juice, and dot with butter. Bake, covered, at 300° for 1 hour. Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
