Green Onion And Pepper Biscuit

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3/4 cup buttermilk baking mix

3 tablespoons green onion -- finely chopped

1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal

1/4 teaspoon black Pepper -- coarsely ground

1/4 cup milk -- cold

 

Preheat oven to 425. Stir baking mix, add onions , cornmeal and pepper in

medium bowl and mix, Add Milk and stir till until soft dough forms. Turn out on

a floured surface. Knead just until dough comes together. About 4 turns. Pat out

dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Use a 2 inch cutter to cut 4 biscuits. Roll

scraps and pat out dough again and make 2 more. Put on baking sheet. Bake until

golden brown about 15 minutes. Serve hot.

 

Makes 6 biscuits.
