Kathleen * Exported from MasterCook * Grilled Tomato Salsa Recipe By : Byerly's Bag, June 2000, page 9 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Sauces And Marinades Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 9 Roma tomatoes cut in half lengthwise then seeded 2 jalapeno chilies cut in half lengthwise then seeded 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup seasoned pepper medley TO GRILL: Prepare grill. Spray grill rack with no stick cooking spray. Using direct heat cooking method, arrange tomatoes and chilies skin side down on grill rack 5 inches from hot coals. Grill until skin is black (about 5 minutes.); cool. Scrape off burnt skin with paring knife. Dice tomatoes and chilies; combine with remaining ingredients. Refrigerate, covered.
