Guest guest Posted July 14, 2000 Report Share Posted July 14, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Portabella Puffs Recipe By : brochure from Terry Farms, 1999 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 large portabellas 4 5-inch squares of purchased puff pastry (available in frozen-food section) 4 tablespoons creamy French garlic-herb cheese -- up to 8 tbls. (or 4 slices of your favorite cheese) 1 egg -- slightly beaten Serves 4 Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out pastry to fit portabella. Paint cap of the portabella generously with the creamy cheese (1-2 tablespoons). Place cap down on the pastry puff and paint cheese on the underside. If you are using cheese slices, place slice of cheese on the puff and lay the portabella on the cheese. Wrap pastry around the portabella. Turn pastry over and prick holes in the top of the puff until golden. Serve immediately.
