Guest guest Posted July 14, 2000 Report Share Posted July 14, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Oaty Banana Slices Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 ounces butter 6 ounces light muscovado sugar 3 eggs -- beaten 6 ounces self-raising flour 2 ounces rolled oats 3 ripe bananas -- mashed 4 ounces walnut pieces -- chopped Preheat the oven to 190C / 375F / Gas 5. Grease and line the base of a 20cm / 8in square cake tin. Cream the butter and the sugar until light. Beat in the eggs a little at a time, then fold in the flour. Add the oats and bananas, spoon the mixture into the tin and smooth the surface. Sprinkle over the walnuts and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then cut into 16 slices. Cool on a wire rack.
