Guest guest
I should have put a header of " DECADENCE " at the start of this recipe - I haven't tried it, but boy it sounds rich. If anyone is game enough to try it, please let me know how it turns out. ~Lynn~ * Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate Whisky Bread and Butter Pudding Recipe By :David Griffiths and Prue Barton of " Vinnies " in Herne Bay, Auckland Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 loaf white bread -- medium sliced and crusts removed 150 grams butter 4 eggs 500 milliliters milk 500 milliliters cream 100 grams sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cup sultanas or currants 1/2 cup whisky 2 bananas -- sliced 150 grams Callebaut Belgium chocolate -- broken into squares 25 grams white sugar -- for dusting 25 grams raw sugar Grease a terrine dish with butter. Make bread triangles with remaining bread and place on top to garnish. Sprinkle over the raw sugar and leave to rest for half an hour. Cook covered in a bain marie at 180 degrees C in the oven for approximately 1 hour until a skewer comes out cleanly. Serve warm in slices with a vanilla bean creme anglaise or fresh cream.
