Guest guest Posted June 16, 2000 Report Share Posted June 16, 2000 Yes, tempeh can be frozen - I live in a rather small town and my local health food store usually always freezes it. Freezing doesn't modify tempeh's texture, as it does tofu. I've kept tempeh frozen for 3 or 4 months - but if I were to clean my freezer, I'd probably find some that's been there close to a year. The tempeh I buy is nicely wrapped and I just stick the entire pkg in the freezer, and defrost it in the refrigerator a day or two before I plan to use it.
