Guest guest
I'm going to make this tomorrow. I will omit the coconut though because I abhor coconut. It looks good to me minus that. I made something similar years ago and it came out ok but I let it brown too much. I'll watch this batch a lot better: @@@@@ Crunchy Granola | Mrs. Charles B. Denson, Little Rock, Arkansas | 6 cups regular oats, uncooked 3/4 cup wheat germ 1/2 cup flaked coconut 1/3 cup sesame seeds 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, shelled 1/2 cup raw peanuts 3/4 cup whole almonds, blanched 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup honey 1 tsp vanilla extract | Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; mix well and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; place over medium heat, stirring until mixture is thoroughly heated. Pour over oats mixture; mix well. Spread mixture evenly into a lightly greased 15x10x1 " jellyroll pan. Bake at 325°F for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown, stirring often. Cool, then store in an airtight container. Yield: about 9 cups. Recipe from Southern Living 1981 Annual | _____ RisaG
