Well, I'm glad I could inspire! <g>

Never be afraid to ask.

You'll see online that people have different names for the same things,

depending upon where they're from. I once had a heck of a time describing

green beans to someone. Turns out they called them snap peas!! (which is a

green bean in a different state of age/development.)

So go fig're, right?

Did you know a strip of kombu cooked with any bean is supposed to help

eliminate its, ummmm, gas-inducing properties? Not being a beaner myself

(beaner: one who eats beans), you can't prove it by me, but I've heard that

on the lists forever.

Just a fun fact for 'ya.

Have a great evening out there!

Christine

Thanks for giving me the courage to ask what is kombu?I,ve been cooking

chickpeas for years but I have never heard of chickpeas in kombu.
