Guest guest
RE: Spicy Hobo Casserole Just so I don't get more obnoxious messages from the fat police at this list, I would like to explain why I wrote that the recipe contained 1 gram of fat for the whole recipe when it had 1 tbsp canola oil in it. The recipe in the book said that (So Fat, Low Fat, No Fat by Betty Rohde which is my favorite low fat/non fat book), not me. If you divide the 14 grams of fat from that 1 tbsp of oil by 6 servings it comes out VERY low fat, which is what I meant. So, don't flame me!!! Please! I got 3 obnoxious messages from the chile-heads and I know that Veg-Recipes people are much nicer, but I wanted to make sure no one wrote me privately about this. I am sorry if I made it sound like 1 tbsp of fat in the whole recipe made the whole recipe 1 gram of fat. It doesn't. If you don't want that amount of fat in the whole recipe, cut it a little or omit it. I cut it down a bit. I always do. Sorry if this recipe bothered anyone. Guest guest
Risa, for all the work you put into your cooking and sharing your recipes with us, and all the great reviews and your changes included, someone had to focus on something they didn't bother to calculate? Some need to just get a life, I'd say. But that's my opinion, and sure, no one asked. I thought it sounded like a great recipe and I always appreciate the fact everything you post is TNT. That's always an added bonus to the great recipes and hard work people put into sharing with others. Since when is Chili-heads a low fat list? I admit its been years since I d, but for goodness sake, it's not like you're on Eat-LF or Fat Free, where that recipe would have passed their rigorous specs anyway. Please keep 'em coming. I hope your son is doing better, too, with his food allergies. He's a lucky boy to have such a creative and adventuresome mom! Have a great evening, Risa.
