Guest guest Posted June 6, 2000 Report Share Posted June 6, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Mixed Greens With Honey-Basil Dressing Recipe By : Cooking Light, Sept 1993, page 109 Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:15 Categories : 1993 Salad/Vegetable Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 ripe plum tomatoes 2 cups leaf lettuce -- packed tightly, torn 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon olive oil 1/8 teaspoon salt Cut each tomato in half lengthwise; push seeds out with thumbs. Cut each half into thin strips. Place in a large bowl; add lettuce and basil leaves, and set aside. Combine chopped basil and next 4 ingredients in a jar; cover tightly, and shake vigorously. Pour over lettuce mixture; toss gently. Yield: 2 servings (serving size: 1 cup).
