Guest guest Posted May 27, 2000 Report Share Posted May 27, 2000 I thought I'd post a few recipes for grilled things in case anyone is planning a cookout this holiday weekend. * Exported from MasterCook * Grilled Portobello Sandwiches Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Grilling Sandwiches Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 large portobello mushrooms -- stems removed 4 kaiser rolls 4 tablespoons goat cheese (optional) chopped fresh basil lettuce & tomato slices, if desired choice of condiments In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, and salt. Add portobello mushrooms, stirring to coat. Cover and chill 2 hours; drain, and discard marinade. Grill mushrooms 4-5 minutes on each side or until tender. Place mushrooms on kaiser rolls (toasted, if desired) and top each mushroom with 1 tbsp. goat cheese, if desired, and 2 tsp. chopped basil.
