Jenn Ottawa, Ontario, Canada http://tlotc.dhs.org/jenn/ * Exported from MasterCook * SELF RISING FLOUR Recipe By : Fran jd4 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cooking Tips Substitutes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cu flour The Gold Medal flour sack says self rising flour is made by adding 1 1/2 tsp. of baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt to 1 cup all-purpose flour. NOTES: If you want to substitute self-rising flour for regular flour in a recipe, just omit the baking powder and salt from the recipe, and use self-rising flour.
