For the topping, cut the margarine into the oats, soy protein isolate, wheat germ, 2/3 cup brown sugar, salt, and vanilla with a fork, and mix well. Place the apples in a deep dish, 9-inch casserole, or baking pan. Drizzle the lemon juice and sprinkle the cinnamon, allspice, flour, and sugar over them, and mix it all together. Sprinkle the topping over the apples, and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes.
