Guest guest Posted April 25, 2000 Report Share Posted April 25, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Baked 1015 Onions Recipe By :Better Homes and Gardens® " Hometown Cooking " - June 2000 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Onions Side Dish Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 8-ounce sweet onions, such as 1015, Vidalia, Walla Walla, or Maui 4 tablespoons butter Bottled hot pepper sauce Peel and trim onions. Score each onion by making deep cuts in a checkerboard pattern at 1/2-inch intervals across the surface of onion. Tear off four 12-inch squares of foil. Place an onion in center of each piece of foil. Press butter into the cuts of each onion. Sprinkle with hot pepper sauce, then with salt and pepper. Loosely wrap the foil around onions. Bake in a 350ºF oven 40 to 45 minutes or until tender.
