Guest guest Posted April 11, 2000 Report Share Posted April 11, 2000 This is good, and far less expensive than commercial vegetarian worcestershire sauces. * Exported from MasterCook Buster * Veggie Worcestershire Sauce Recipe By : Cooking With PETA Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time : Categories : Condiment Vegan Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup cider vinegar 1/2 cup dark molasses 1/4 cup soy sauce or mushroom soy sauce 1/4 cup -- water 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 1/2 teaspoons -- salt 1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic granules 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves or allspice 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Store in the refrigerator. Makes 1 1/2 cups when made with the one cup vinegar.
