This is good, and far less expensive than commercial vegetarian worcestershire

sauces.

Veggie Worcestershire Sauce

 

Recipe By : Cooking With PETA

Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup cider vinegar

1/2 cup dark molasses

1/4 cup soy sauce or mushroom soy sauce

1/4 cup -- water

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 1/2 teaspoons -- salt

1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic granules

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves or allspice

1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

 

Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Pour into a saucepan and bring

to a boil. Store in the refrigerator. Makes 1 1/2 cups when made with

the one cup vinegar.

Calcium 7 mg, Fiber 0 g, Sodium 307 mg
