Guest guest
I *think* this was recommended as a topping on the Chocolate Silk Pie. * Exported from MasterCook * Creamy Dessert Topping Recipe By :Soy! - Dana Jacobi Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 ounces or 1 (10 1/2 oz) package soft silken tofu 2 teaspoons maple syrup 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract When a dessert calls for a dollop of whipped cream, try this topping instead. Using a mild-tasting silken tofu is important. Enjoy this topping on fresh berries, fruit compote, and shortcake. In a blender or food processor, puree the tofu. Add the maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla and blend well. Transfer the topping to a bowl or plastic container and cover tightly. Chill for 60 minutes or until ready to serve. If the topping thickens, stirring will return it to the texture of yogurt. It keeps 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.
