None call for cream cheese, as you mentioned, but you can substitute Nayonnaise for real mayonnaise in one recipe and use tofu sour cream in the other along with soy milk instead of dairy milk. Someone posted the Tofu Spinach Dip on Veg-Recipes -- thanks to whoever that was. You could add artichokes to that one. You can find commercial tofu " sour cream " and " cream cheese " if you don't want to make them. Tofutti makes some and the same company that makes " Vegi-Slices " does too.
