Guest guest
Hi All My mother in law gave me a bamboo steamer, but had lost the book for it. I was wondering if anyone had any instructions on how to use it as well as any good recipes for it Thanks Han
Guest guest
I use mine to steam about anything. Depending on the size of your baskets, you can actually steam things on the serving plate. (I bought two, so I can stack 4 baskets.) I usually use them with a wok - just keep water in the wok and stack the baskets over it. (The water should not touch the bottom basket.) I recently discovered mine sit nicely on top of my Dutch oven, which means I can have more water and don't have to keep checking that it isn't boiling dry. It's great for fish and veggies. Did lovely steamed asparagus last week - just spread them in single layers and steamed for a few minutes. Play with it - you'll love it!
