Guest guest Posted March 30, 2000 Report Share Posted March 30, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Mamma Mia Pasta Recipe By :Southern Living Serving Size : 3 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pasta & Pasta Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 ounces wagon wheel pasta 4 cloves garlic -- minced 1 medium onion -- finely chopped 2 teaspoons olive oil 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes -- undrained 1 tablespoon tomato paste 2 teaspoons sugar 2 teaspoons dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese -- divided Cook pasta per package direction omitting salt and oil. Drain pasta and set aside. Cook garlic and onion in olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until tender. Add tomatoes and next 6 ingredients. Cook 5 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Pour over cooked pasta.
