Guest guest Posted March 22, 2000 Report Share Posted March 22, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Sauteed Tofu Cutlets with Tahini Sauce Recipe By :366 Simply Delicious Dairy-Free Recipes - Robin Robertson Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tablespoon safflower oil 1 pound extra-firm tofu -- cut into 1/2-inch thick slices 4 tablespoons low-sodium tamari 3 tablespoons tahini 1 cup hot soy milk 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley, or 1 teaspoon dried Preheat the oven to 250F. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu slices and saute until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Add 2 tablespoons of the tamari, turning to coat. Place the tofu in the oven to keep warm. In a food processor, combine the tahini and the remaining 2 tablespoons tamari. With the machine running, slowly stream in the hot soy milk. Transfer the mixture to a small saucepan and simmer over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. To serve, place the tofu slices on serving plates, and top with the sauce.
