Guest guest
We went to Cornwall for a couple of days. We stayed at our favourite Vegetarian Guesthouse - Michael House, Treknow, Tintagel, which I would recommend to anyone. Our food, as always, was delicious. For breakfasts I had fresh fruit salad, with yogurt and pumpkin seeds, and a cooked breakfast of tomato, mushrooms, potato rosti and toast. Colin had muesli with fresh fruit, and a cooked breakfast of sausage, beans, mushrooms and toast. Dinner on the first evening was roasted red pepper dip with crudites, followed by cous cous with vegetables (a sort of Thai dish), followed by pear parcels with amoretti/o. The second evening was carrot and tomato soup with warm rolls, followed by mushroom and chestnut tarts (the pastry base was almonds, onions and rosemary) served with roast potatoes, grreen beans, purple sprouting broccoli and cauliflower, with celeriac puree. The desert was apple and pecan crumble with cream. The crumble also had dried fruits in it. I wonder when we can visit again :-) Jo
