Guest guest
Miss you, Fraggle. Wanted to let you know that the conversations on the list have been very helpful to me <and hopefully the rest of the list folks will pick this up from this email to you>. For some reason I have waxed introspective at my advanced age of 55 years, brought up some vexing issues that I was working through, and from watching the list members pick up my questions and chew thoughtfully on them, I have learned a lot and worked out a lot for myself. This whole group of like-minded Vegan folks have been a big help to me. Get better. Right now, I also am enjoying the benefits of my special friend (Vicodin)…and Muscle Relaxers. Perhaps some of the more believing in this list can ask nature, God, Buddha, the cosmos, Allah, or whoever is most important to them what was the plan when our lower backs were created (or evolved). Note: forgive me if I left out anyone’s beliefs in the preceding sentence. I’m buzzed out of my mind and therefore forgetful. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
