mmmmm........ vegan beer

Hey All-

I imagine you've had this discussion before, but how do we know which beers are vegan?

 

Does anyone know a good information source about beers and wines?

 

For example: A local brewer here in Berkeley, Bison Brewing, says they don't filter their IPA. And they don't bother filtering their stout since no one could see the difference anyway.

 

But I only found that out by asking the master brewer. It's not like the bottles are labeled.

 

Are all IPAs and stouts unfiltered?

 

I've done various searches at various times, but haven't found anything defiinitive.

 

It would sure be cool if we could get a labeling law passed identifying the filtering media used.
