Guest guest
.. There is quite a thread in this group concerning religion. If you take away the “smoke and mirrors” there is only one true religion. All others fade before this. Television. In the United States it is the chosen form of meditation. Few eyes and ears turn away from the black box that controls thinking better than Hitler controlled the masses in Germany. It is the Matrix for the masses, and it is the world pulled over your eyes to conceal the truth. The addition is stronger to TV than smoking, heroin, or methamphetamine. No, you say? Try to stop. And, don’t tell me that PBS documentaries don’t count. It’s the medium not the message my friend. How will you survive without your TV? All that I can tell you is that it was easier to give up being a methamphetamine addict 20 years ago than giving up the TV set 13 years ago. People still hound me to just “try a little TV.” I haven’t had an offer of a snort for over 10 years. “One nature program can’t hurt” “Hey, just take a look at this!” [trying to get me to turn my head and body toward the set] “Did you see that show on Discovery last night? I taped it, wanna watch?” It all sounds like “one line won’t hurt” to me. I see those dead eyes, those oblivious eyes, turning to the GREAT GOD TV. And, yes, even one line from a commentator can hurt. I’ll keep to my books and control my own access to knowledge through those and careful use of the Internet. For those of you who worship tomatoes and cabbage, thank you. I have found most pagans are not as addicted to the Set as others. For those of you who see sex in Pagan symbology: I suggest you throw your TV out and go camping for a year. It’s a drug and the worst one the human race has ever faced. The worst part is that no one is trying to find a cure. ,_._,___
