nectarines, plums, pluots, and apricots.

About the Berkeley Farmer' Markets:

Celebrating 20 years as a program of the Ecology Center, the Berkeley Farmers'

Markets offer a wide range of mostly organic produce and healthy,

locally-produced foods. Together with educational events, cooking demonstrations

and live music, these award-winning markets serve as a central meeting place for

members of our diverse and vibrant community.

The Berkeley Farmers' Market was recently for the fourth time voted " Best

Farmers' Market " by readers of the East Bay Express. In March 2002 (along with

only two other farmers' markets) it was on Gourmet Magazine's list of " 100+

Great Things " in the Bay Area. In 2000 it was chosen by Sunset Magazine as one

of its seven favorite farmers' markets in all of Northern California.
