Guest guest
The airline didn't have my veg meal once and said I could get a " refund " for the value of the meal (something like $10, and I don't know whether it was actual cash or a voucher for airport " food " ), but it involved waiting in line -- a long line -- at my destination after a long flight. Ever since then, I've brought a bag full of food with me (haven't flown since 2001, maybe bags of food are not allowed any more?). Guest guest
I'm not sure about taking food on planes. I think there are some restrictions. Maybe other people on here have flown recently and have some information. Guest guest
I was talking to a friend who flies a lot, who said food is no longer given free on planes (except first class) -- but meals are available if you want to pay. She thinks you can bring food on the plane as long as you buy it in the terminal after you've gone through the checkpoint. <sigh> On that flight where I didn't get any food, I had a long wait for the bus, so I looked everywhere in the terminal and the only edible thing I could find was breadsticks. Maybe the food choices have improved in the terminals? At 6:34 AM +0000 6/18/07, heartwerk wrote: >I'm not sure about taking food on planes. I think there are some >restrictions. Guest guest
i think it all depends on where you fly as well we got meals on our international flight, not that we could eat them but, last time i flew domestically, they didn't have anything.... yarrow Jun 18, 2007 11:44 AM Re: En: [veg-brasil] Malaysia Airlines fined for serving meat I was talking to a friend who flies a lot, who said food is no longer given free on planes (except first class) -- but meals are available if you want to pay. Guest guest
I don't have much experience of airports but we did get a jacket potato and beans once, but I can't imagine there would be much to take onto a plane apart from bags of nuts.
