Guest guest
Fine Jo, you might be right. There are those that spend their live's learning how to communicate well with others. While others spend their lives learning scientific truths. I did not have the luxury of learning communication skills growing up with a dying mother as I stayed home at her bedside crying ang praying most of time while children went to school and played together, and now it shows. I just get so frustrated because I lack the verbal skills. Then I spout off things that I don't mean to say. A few years ago I invented a new hi-tech device for yachts and ships. A real life saver, but unfortunately, because of my poor communication skills, only ships engineers, Microsoft and Intel engineers that were yacht owners could understand just exactly how it worked and they all bought one. But the laypersons continued to be snowed by other false products. Y'know, I just want to help people and I was the big kid in school when I was there that protected others from the bullies, last year I rescued a mailman that was being beat up by a couple of thugs and it made the news. I just feel defensive when I hear someone say something that I think may harm others. I wish that I didn't, it's got to be the protector coming out in me. As for the potatoes, I have stayed with one position, that they do provide some nutrients but that no one fruit or vegetable can sustain a " healthy " life, and certainly, one will meet their demise trying to survive cancer and eating only potatoes. My positions are only the positions of others that were and are the real scientists. They were and are out there saving lives and they have been for a long time. I could have an IQ. of 25 and it matters not. All that I do is collect data and try to convey the information. Not too good at the ladder and my apologies for that. As I stated last, maybe this forum is not the place for me? Maybe it's any forum? I don't know Jo, Thanks for reading. Dave
Guest guest
I think that saying that you cannot communicate is a poor substitute for manners. If you are clever enough to explain that you cannot communicate - then you are clever enough to communicate politely and endearingly. I have found that argumentative people often try to excuse their lack of care for others feelings by saying they have a problem with communication - and I don't believe it.
