Guest guest
Over the holiday weekend I had to wash a large load of cloth diapers. On the final rinse to make sure I got all the soap rinsed out of the cloth my family and I decided to go get our errands done out in town. Then Murphys Law, the drain hose to the washer pulled free from the drain and dumped a very large load of water all over the top floor of the townhouse that drained thru the ceiling, into my other computer monitor, all over the dining table and wood floors and then thru the ceiling into the basement. To say the least we have a mess that is going to take weeks to repair. The house at this point is not in the kind of shape where I am going to be able to do much cooking so out we go to the local dinner spots. Odds are the easiest thing for me to eat is going to be salads and veggie sides. Any tips on picking salad dressings that I know are going to be vegan friendly? Thanks for any suggestions!-Kris ) Got a little couch potato? Check out fun summer activities for kids.
Guest guest
too bad about the mess! re: vegan food at restaurants: ask them to ask the chef what's in the dressings. most decent places make their own dressings and they will know. if its bottled ask to see the label. and how to be sure you're not eating what you don't want to eat? my old favorite: make it clear you're allergic to dairy, seafood, etc. they will bend over backwards to ensure you're not eating something that might create liability on their part. a surprising number of dressings use fish oil, btw. we found this out the hard way with this otherwise delicious brand: http://www.leesmarket.com/mt/lees/archives/000127.html yeah, " enhanced with omega 3 " should have been a dead (fish) giveaway. good luck, blake Over the holiday weekend I had to wash a large load of cloth diapers.
