Guest guest
Something that has concerned me for years with all the talk about fuels made from corn etc, is the fact that with man made problems drought has become the norm in the mid west, where most corn, wheat etc are grown. Without water you cannot grow crops. No crops no fuel. Not to mention all the corn being turned into high calories food sweeteners that are cheap and add to obesity concerns. The San Joaquin Valley of California has been known as the food basket, yet look at the areas between Sacramento and Bakersfield where rich farm land is fast being turned into look alike housing areas, which we call human mausoleums. These homes use more water than what the farm lands used. Little talk about smaller homes and mandatory solar on new homes. Little talk about not allowing grass thirsty yards. Little talk about no mass transit, or lack of sidewalks so people can walk to school and stores. ~Beth AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com.
