Menu Foods out of Canada is the maker of the dog and cat food and the cat food site is:

http://www.menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html

It's interesting to some that one maker basically makes multiple brand foods for pets,

which is good to know when it comes to the best price. Am glad to see (so far) That

Newmans Own isn't on the list. They make 100% organic cat food. Am always

interested in knowing of good brands of organic cat food. Does anyone make a

non meat cat food? ~BethAOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com.

hay beth,

My cat and dog are doing great both eat the same vegan cat food from www.downbound.com its fairly inexpensive and non gmo not organic but seems fairly close since the product is from italy as the standards are much higher there.I have tried a few bites myself and its seem quite edible heheehhe. i havent been able to find all vegan organic food and ive been trying to stay away from aluminum cans which is a known toxic linked to all kinds of stuff including alzheimers. my dog eats both the vegan cat food (since its always left out) and we feed her organic fruits and vegetables and almost eats anything you put in front of her. as far as my cat he well eat organic french fries, organic peanut butter, organic yogurt treats include(non gmo sea weed,tofurky)..i have been noticing that my cat and other cats really dig slightly saltier foods like seaweed... a interesting hypothesis that one may consider is they may have lived by the ocean and displaced re-released back inland by people maybe to test there "survival instincts" reconditioned to hunt by people since an artifiicial lack of food has always been created for who knows how long ....and perhaps justify there own carnivorism....obiously there could be fresh fruit and vegtetables growing everywheres and one has has to ask where the heck are they if we are so technologically advanced and why arent they accesible at all times and why are we not taught about being self sufficent or any of this this in school!!!! all cats are have different tastes.... id definetly say are more particular then dogs in general in my opinion as far as food preference......hope this helpsAOL now offers free email to everyone. When we had a cat, the one food she would jump onto my lap for was

dried seaweed (she was not a lap cat otherwise), so I made sure to

have some on hand as a treat. I offered her other foods that I had

heard cats go for -- cantaloupe, corn -- and she came running for

those, and even enjoyed picking the last bits off a corncob.

I met another cat who would come running and purr at top volume for

alfalfa sprouts.
