Thirteen arrests were made at the South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal near Milford Haven on Wednesday. Dyfed-Powys Police said five people have been charged and will appear before Haverfordwest magistrates on 27 February. A further eight people were released on bail pending further inquiries. Of the 13 people arrested, seven were from Cardiff, with others from Bristol, Manchester and Norwich. Energy supply A number of protests have already been held against the construction of the 190 mile (306 km) pipeline. It will carry gas which has been imported as liquefied natural gas (LNG) at Milford Haven across south Wales to a terminal in Tirley, Gloucestershire. The converted gas will eventually provide 20% of the UK's energy supply. The Milford Haven demonstration began at around 0400 GMT on Wednesday and ended at about 1230 GMT. In followed a protest last November where work on the pipeline at Trebanos in the Swansea Valley was halted by demonstrators who climbed inside the pipe. Peter H What kind of emailer are you?
