PETA asks motorists to go vegan for the holidays

If you're traveling along Interstate 4 this afternoon, you just might get a holiday greeting from animal activists at PETA.PETA members plan to unfurl a giant banner from an overpass near the Mall at Millenia exit, from noon to 1 p.m. today. The banner will say "Good Will to All (Animals, Too!). Go Vegan. GoVeg.com."Local PETA members say meat deserves a "big bah humbug" this holiday season, because of mistreatment of animals that are raised for food and slaughtered."Holidays should be a celebration of life," said PETA president Ingrid Newkirk, in a release. "Meat-free celebrations are becoming more popular as more and more people choose delicious, healthy and humane fare." Peter H
