Guest guest
I got this in my e-mail so I thought I'd pass it along to you. These things are heartbreaking. I've read some stories about things that go on that are outside even the realms of what is supposed to go on. It seems as though people who are employed in slaughterhouses, or testing labs, break down psychologically under the weight of trying to deny the suffering they are part of. They have to deny their hearts speaking to them so often they become worse than heartless. ****Cross Post Freely****Sunday 11-26-06 at 2:00 PMProtest Huntingdon Life Sciences...(photo courtesy of SHAC - http://www.shac.net) ...for killing 500 animals every dayJoin Win Animal Rights as we continue the campaign to stop the killing at the notorious animal testing labs at Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). HLS is a company whose primary business is death and suffering. 500 animals are killed there every day. They are poisoned, they are cut and burned, they have limbs broken and on top of that they have to endure the cruelty of sadistic technicians who have been proven, in 6 undercover investigations, to abuse and torture the animals in their care. Date/Time: Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 2:00 PMPlace: 279 Central Park W. (88 St.) - New York CityHome of: Andrew Baker, CEO of HLS At 3:00 PM we will leave this location to visit the homes of key executives of Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and GlaxoSmithKline in New York City. Following is an excerpt from the recently published whistleblower report of two former employees of Huntingdon Life Sciences: "Then I met my team leader. She was in the middle of doing a bleed with another member of staff. I was shocked at what I saw and thought it was quite barbaric. The holder was sitting on a stool with the dog to her right hand side also sitting on the chair. She used her right hand to hold the dog’s front legs down and keep the dog tight to her body. Her left hand was used to hold the dog’s muzzle upwards so that the neck was clearly visible to the technician taking the blood. The dogs were struggling and whimpering as the needle was stabbed and plunged in and out of their necks. I found it very difficult to watch." You can read the entire report on the SHAC website at:http://www.shac.net/MISC/Inside_HLS_Cruelty.htmlWhen making your plans, please consider that there are 70,000 animals trapped inside of Huntingdon Life Sciences right now. Some are violently ill while others pace their cold steel cages and dank concrete pens waiting to be poisoned or multilated for toothpaste or some new chemical or food additive. You are their only hope. Please, please stop whatever you are doing and make plans to join us on Sunday at the home of HLS CEO Andrew Baker.
