Guest guest
I'm taking Mollie Katzen's, Cauliflower Cheese Pie with grated potato crust (from 1st Moosewood cookbook ) to a friend's house tonight. It's a simple recipe but time consuming because you bake the crust first. It's my husband's favorite so I try to make it when I can. I'm off to dinner, it just came out of the oven. Guest guest
Its too hot to cook anything! I'm thinking about having ice cream. :^) " The cat did not respond. Guest guest
my dinners have been very plain as of late...getting rid of all my food in prep for the move so its been a lot of pasta with really odd mixtures of spices since im trying to get rid of those too. BUT! For lunch today I am going to try an all-veggie restaurant in town. I have an hour between my class and visiting a tutor and supposedly this place has to-go and only costs 1.40E or so per 100g and they have soups, salads, potatoes, entrees, side dishes and a whole section just for cakes, though I'll probably pass on that today. If that doesn't pan out I'm going to just pick up a broetchen from the local bakery. -Katie , glpveg4life@a... wrote: > What is everyone making or having for dinner tonight? Guest guest
lol i was very bad yesterday and had ice cream twice. One ice cream bar at the movies (chocolate with truffle) and then a snack size ice cream bar (vanilla) later at home. They were delicious though! -Katie , Jiraph Wirpel <wirpel> wrote: > > Its too hot to cook anything! > > I'm thinking about having ice cream. :^)
Guest guest
Well, I guess this just gets me thinking. I harvested some potatoes, onions and carrots from the garden over the weekend, so I suppose I could make something with those. Perhaps another curry? Oh, and I have extra-firm tofu, so I could add that. Hmmm, should I do noodles or rice? Guess it's time to search the recipes files. Guest guest
anyone got any stellar plans for meals? recipes? looks like we are planning on making a raw thai coconut soup we'll see how we do last nite was ..interesting gimme lean vegan ground sausage cooked with tomatoes(waaahh..last ones from the garden!), mushrooms, and peppers placed inside a sort of calzone/biscuit dough thingee and baked gonna ahve to experiment on that one... As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. Guest guest
Nothing too interesting. I was kinda lazy and just put a few things together...I made Black Bean Soup, brown rice and corn and mixed it all together. It's good all combined. Probably too starchy but I don't care YUMMY! I received my Vegan Lunchbox book as well as VWaV and VCTOW so I'll be busy looking through those and my others for yummy recipes! I've never been one to want to cook but now that I'm Vegan I look forward to it. There are still processed and prepackaged stuff I can get and stay lazy, but I'm seeing all these yummy ideas and most are SO easy! And many you can have cooked and on the table before a omni gets the main dish IN the oven! I lurve it! Guest guest
weird..i can't edit e-mails again *sigh* anyways i've found there is a big difference in flavor(and texture!) between dried and canned depends on what you like i would guess dried is genrally cheaper..and i myself tend to like em better just takes one heck of a lot longer to cook! and you have to soak em most of the time maybe you could experiment next time..make one canned, one dry..and then call me fer a taste testing hee hee fraggle Mikeygirl9915 Nov 16, 2006 4:10 PM Re: whats for dinner?
