so

went to the Green Fest on Saturday

all in all, think i was somewhat disappointed

very crowded this year, which i guess is good

just doesn't seem t o have the same focus anymore tho.

it just seems like a new varient on consumerist culture...

just stalls and stalls of so called " green " and earth friendly stuff

dunno..

Saw a few speakers (Amy Goodman, David Suzuki, thom Hartmen)..tho hartman was

the only one i hadn't seen innumerable times before

Robbins was there, but seen him too many times before.......

and..food didn't seem as good this year..tho i think we were sadly disappointed

that the delicious Thai wraps we had last year had butter in em this year

bleh!

and..organic beer and wine section was just beyond mobbed....waaaaaaaaaaay too

many folks....

ah well

fraggle

I know what you mean, there seems to be big money in green goods these days, but offset that with more people being interested in green issues, isnt it a good thing? Not like you to be shy of getting served at the bar? if it really stays green

if its greenwashing consumerist crap, then its just a step backwards

wasn't a bar per se..it was a bunch of stalls roped off..

it was like being in a feedlot

not shy..just couldn't move....

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.
