Moroccan vegan feast beckons

Comox Valley? On Sunday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Filberg Café, Comox Valley Earthsave and Zizi Café would like to invite diners to enjoy a Moroccan-style vegan buffet. An opening course of humous will be followed by a Cyprus Village Salad. The main course of Moroccan lentil patties will be complemented by Zizi’s Moroccan Rice and a quinoa tabouleh salad. Moroccan baklava and Moroccan coconut squares will be served as dessert. Zizi Café uses as many local and/or organic ingredients as is seasonally possible to make fresh and healthy menu choices. Price is $15, including tip, coffee or tea. Kid’s price is $1 per year up to age 12. The meal is by reservation only. A reservation is a commitment to pay. Reserve by calling Bob at 338-0751. EarthSave is a non-profit educational organization promoting awareness of the health, environmental

and ethical consequences of our food choices. It advocates a plant-based diet for better health, environmental sustainability and compassion towards non-human animals. Volunteers are welcome to help with potlucks, dine-outs, educational projects and writing press releases. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, e-mail cvearthsave or call Bob.
