Guest guest Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 ATLANTA, GA (July 18, 2006) - Two specialty foods have been recalled because they may contain a known allergen, milk ingredients, which are not listed on the label, Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Irvin told consumers today.The two products are: Harry & David Wild ‘N Spicy Hot Chili Pepper Tortilla Chips packaged in 14-ounce bags with an expiration date of May 1, 2006 through November 11, 2006, and; The Vegan Parmesan Flavor Grated Soy Topping packaged in 4-ounce shaker canisters with a dark purple label and a UPC code of 77172-64000. The Soy Topping products affected by the recall have the following expiration code dates:04/01/07; 04/15/07; 04/29/07; 5/27/07. “Our sanitarians will look for these products during inspections of wholesale and retail food sales establishments and remove any from sale,” Commissioner Irvin said. “Anyone who has purchased the topping or the tortilla chips should return them to the place of purchase for a refund.” The Soy Topping was distributed nationwide by Galaxy Nutritional Foods of Orlando, FL, through natural, specialty food stores and supermarkets.
