Guest guest
My late husband was a Bay Leaf freak...had a tree in the backyard so he put 2 or 3 times the amount called for in every recipe....YUCK! I just don't like the flavor. Also, I just hate fennel, I guess the licorice taste in food just grosses me out. Lastly, Basil.....I have 3 different kinds in my garden and they grow like crazy but I just can't make myself like it. Weird, because I'll put cilantro on almost anything as well as garlic, onion, etc.....I love spicy and hot, curries, etc., but BAY LEAF, FENNEL, BASIL are just icky to me. We should start a thread...what is your favorite herb or spice? What is your favorite vegetable? Have a great evening!
Guest guest
For me it is goat cheese, I just cannot stand the smell or taste of the stuff. In fact I really do not like most white cheese. I think mozz and one other (cant remember the name) are the only 2 white cheeses I like. The rest make me cringe. 'Do what thou wilt, but harm none'. Guest guest
for some reason I have a mental block to try goat cheese because it comes from a goat. I love cow cheese. I have no idea why goat seems disgusting but cow doesn't, LOL hugs, Chanda - Winterchill Sunday, August 24, 2008 4:26 PM Re: Re. :Tastes We Don't Like.... Guest guest
I am the opposite. When I think of cow's milk, I picture factory farmed cows with pussy udders (sorry if that is too graphic). When I think of goat milk, I think of free roaming goats of a country hillside eating grass and weeds, no pesticides or hormones or antibiotics around for miles. Good imagination, huh? Guest guest
If you've ever had feta or chevre cheese, you've had goat's milk cheese (though sometimes feta can be made from sheep's milk). Guest guest
It sounds wonderful but image does not change the way the cheese taste. Goat cheese is nasty to both eat and smell. Guest guest
I don't care for either of those. Donna I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one. And I believe it could be someday, it's going to come. Cat Stevens - Peace Train --- On Mon, 8/25/08, Megan Milligan <yasminduran wrote: Megan Milligan <yasminduran RE: Re. :Tastes We Don't Like.... Guest guest
I know what feta cheese is and if I ever got close enough to smell the chevre cheese I would not change my mind.
