Mushroom Fettucine Alfredo

 

1 lb. fettucine noodles

1 tbsp. butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 tbsp. all purpose flour

1 can evaporated milk

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup chopped fesh basil

 

In large pot of boiling water, cook fettucine according to package directions.

Drain. Set aside.

In large fry pan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute garlic, mushrooms and

green onions in butter until softened. Stir in flour.

Gradually stir in evpaorated milk. cook, stirring constantly, until mixture

boils and thickens slightly. remove from heat. Add cheese, parsley and basil.

Pour over cooked fettucine. Toss well. Serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.
