Guest guest Posted August 6, 2008 Report Share Posted August 6, 2008 A couple days ago I posted a recipe for Orzo with wild mushrooms that was really yummy. My husband was tellling my sil how good it was and invited dd and sil to dinner to have me make it again last night. I varied it a little and made a stuffed pepper filling out of it. When prepped the peppers I cut the tops into pieces about the size of the orzo and when I sauted the orzo with the muchrooms I put in the pepper pieces. I also threw in a little bit of red pepper pieces to add color. Then I used the left over muchroom soaking liquid and made a light mushroom cream sauce to pour over the peppers and cooked them as usual. It was fabulous. They were pretty enough to serve company and tasted even better than they looked. Dd wanted the recipe and she isn't even vegetarian.
