To Christine and Deb (in Idaho):

Thanks for the info about Bloomington, Indiana!  This is good to know!  In

a couple of weeks, I am going to be passing thru the Hoosier state, headed

toward St. Meinrad, IN, where my DH will be at a retreat center.  We live in

Illinois, but I had thought of stopping on the way to see my parents and sister

& her family, who all live in and near Noblesville.  I saw on the map that Hwy.

37  goes from up that way, around the city (Indy) and comes out on the south

side and heads southward thru Bloomington and comes out south of I-64, where I

catch a county road over to St. Meinrad.

I thought that might be an interesting route to take, allowing me to

make the stop half-way, and I noticed what towns it passed thru.  Now I know

that Bloomington might be a good place to find something to eat on the way.  Dad

and Mom would, of course, like me to have a longer stay to visit them, but if

they know I am driving " all the way 'down there' " , they won't fuss much about

me not being at their place  for a full meal and a longer stay.  (Of course, I

could also arrive at their place the day before and spend the night--THAT all

depends on how organized I am!  LOL!)

Anyway, I will be looking forward to seeing if there is something I can

stop for in Bloomington on my way south thru Indiana in a couple of weeks!  A

restaurant with vegetarian stuff would be great!

Thanks for the information!  You helped at least TWO people when you wrote

it!

Bloomingfoods is great!  I lived in Columbus for 13 years and used

to drive to Bloomington every week or two.  Lots of veggie friendly

restaurants in Bloomington also.  I remember Lennies (great

calzones) was one of our favorites.  I now live in Idaho and there

are almost no vegetarians in this part of the country.  We do have a

great Co-Op though.
