Hey Guys,

I was looking in the files for an easy recipe for some sort of spread to go with

crackers. My blender broke so I was looking for something real simple and I

found this. Looks good but do you all think it would still be good if I added

some garlic? I like garlic alot but I don't wanna mess up the recipe.

Onion Spread

So easy and tasty

This is a great spread on a veggie burger sandwich or on crackers or toast

Saute two medium size onions (chopped or thinly sliced) in 2 tablespoons of

olive oil until golden brown. Cool and add 2 tablespoons of Vegenaise. Salt and

pepper to taste.

Also, I just gotta add about Whole Foods.... There are NONE in my area but a

couple of days ago I was out of town (Charleston, SC) and I passed one by and of

course pulled in because I have never been to one before. And OMG it was

HEAVEN! LOL! I only had 40 bucks on me but I bought some good stuff!... 2 pkgs.

seitan (none in my area), Vegan Gourmet cheeses (mozerella AND cheddar), Tofutti

Italian Sausages, marinated tofu... none of which is in my area. I was so

excited. I could walk around and look forever in there. The guy said they were

talking about opening one in Myrtle Beach, SC whick is where I live! Ohhh I also

got a pound on nutritional yeast. Anyway, I didn't think the prices were bad...

way cheaper than a health food store. I think the each block oh cheese was only

like 2.99 On the website it's more plus shipping. Ok, just wanted to say I was

so impressed. :)

I think it would be very good with some garlic. Garlic goes good

with onions.

I know you had fun in Whole Foods, I was there yesterday. The fruit

was plentiful and the prices werte better than my grocery local

grocery store. I could spend half of a day in there just going up

and down the isles.
