Hi Laura,

Have a wonderful shopping spree.  I look forward all week to getting up early,

heading off to Whole Foods by the beach on  a Saturday or Sunday morning.  Often

I see a flock of wild parrots in the trees  or seagulls flying by.  I love that

store, it's very small.

Now my sister only shops at the master blaster Whole Foods that is as large as a

shopping mall, I kid you not.  I feel a little overwhelmed in that store but it

is beautiful and do they ever have the products.  They have a variety of

vegetables and fruits I doubt you will ever see in another store.

How does it feel to be on your own, with no direction home, like a complete

unknown,

like a rolling stone?

I really like Whole Foods.  In some ways, they are expensive.  I could

go into one and spend a LOT of money because so much of their stuff--in nearly

every department-- is so interesting and makes me want to buy and try!

I'm just a " hick from the sticks " , and when I enter a place like Whole

Foods, I'm

often dazzled and dazed by all the variety of goodies that are all in one place

and that I would have a LOT of trouble finding elsewhere.

When our family lived in east-central Illinois, we had a Whole Foods that

DH and I would make a " pilgrimage " to about once or twice a year--2-21/2 hrs

away in Chicago.  Now, we live just west of the middle of the state and have

another Whole Foods about 2 1/2 hrs away in St. Louis (Kirkwood, to be more

precise).  It's the closest one.  Yes, I, too, would LOVE to see a Whole Foods

somewhere nearer to us in the middle of this no-man's land that is " downstate "

Illinois where we live!

The last time I was in the Kirkwood, MO. Whole Foods, I tried out their

" hot deli bar " and got a take-away box with a LARGE serving of eggplant parmesan

that they were offering.  OHHHH!  It was the BEST eggplant that I have EVER

eaten, outside of the ONE and only Italian restaurant that makes really, REALLY

GOOD eggplant parmesan!

Tomorrow, DH and I are going down that way to meet our DD and DSIL when

their flight from AZ. comes in to the St. Louis airport.  I can't WAIT to go to

Whole Foods again!!!

(Is that crazy or what, that I am so excited to visit a GROCERY STORE???!)

PS:  I, too, love their dry bulk-bins and teas!
