Guest guest
Wow, I'm thankful that the closest active one to me, that I'm apart of, allows 2 requests/per week, not 1/month. That is very restrictive. Sometimes folks don't think to post something and then when someone posts something they need, then they offer it to them. It's all good. We've got reminders about " giving till it feels good, but not until it hurts " . Lots of us give away and recieve. What a great thing Freecycle is for the planet. We have to be patient, helpful and generous with each other as we endevor to serve others and keep things out of our landfills. The main thing is to try to outgive more than you recieve. It always surprises me the things that folks offer and folks want. Freecycle is a very good thing, we we use it to bless others. People accuse me of being abrupt and a stickler, too. I am, both. When people join they are told the rules and I expect then to abide. In case they forget, the rules are posted once a month to refresh their memories. About the month wait before asking again. Go to the group home site and select messages. In the search bos, type in your email address. It will pull up all of your messages posted to the group. You can see the date that you last asked for a particular item. One of the list moms is pretty abrupt in her posts and it always sets me on edge, feeling like the chastised child.
