Guest guest
These are really goood. It is amazing what a bit of spices and herbs can do to green beans. Herbed String Beans 1 pound green beans 3/4 cup minced onion 1/4 cup minced celery 1/4 tsp dried rosemary 3/4 tsp sea salt 1/4 cup butter or substitute 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 tsp dried basil Trim and break beans into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Steam beans about 10 minutes until crisp tender. Keep covered to retain heat until sauce is done. Heat butter in a sauce pan, add onion, garlic and celery and saute 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients except the beans. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add to beans and toss well. Even the kids love these.
