Guest guest
But I¹m still not sure what it is ‹ sounds like it has various attachments to mix, blend, grate and chop? So if I already have machines that blend, chop and mix, I wouldn¹t need one? All the pictures I can find when I search for Cuisinart food processor just look basically like my Oskar, only bigger. I¹ve had recipes that call for putting half the mixture into a food processor to puree (e.g. soup) and then add back into the pot ‹ I¹ve used my blender because the Oskar is way too small. I guess I¹m trying to figure out what specifically a food processor DOES that my individual appliances don¹t already do. Thanks. Guest guest
OK so it does what my blender, mixer AND Oskar already do then ... (Oscar is a small chopper/shredder/grater) -- sounds like I don¹t need a separate food processor since I have the three separate machines now. That¹s what I was trying to determine. Thanks! Guest guest
please understand I'm sharing my story only because I'm laughing at how many stories there are about food processors. Everyone on another group I'm in hate their Kitchens aids, including me. years ago I had a KA and loved it, my sister got one because I had one. I use mine alot. It died, so I got another brand by a well known chef and don't remember what happened to it, except to say it died. When I was ready for a new one I ordered another KA. I used it once and the blade stuck to the machine....I couldn't get the bowl or the blade off the machine. I had to throw it away. I forget what happened we knew we coudln't send it back in on warranty. So, I ordered another one from KA, same thing. In the meantime I was watching iron chef on food tv and the same thing happened to the 2 chefs on there. They had to turn the whole machine upside down to get what they wanted out of the bowl; they couldn't get the blade or the bowl off the machine. Since, I've gotten a Cuisinart and it works so much better. The blade goes all the way to the outside of the bowl, which my KA did not. I use my processors hard and this has stood up well. I sincerely am glad you all have had good success with your KA, as I used to be. I only wish I could have continued being one of their customers but having the same issue twice and seeing it with 2 chefs on tv, I no longer am a customer of theirs.
