Guest guest
It has a chewy texture and takes on the flavor of the herbs, spices and sauces as tofu does. Try the linguine recipe. I truly think you over basilized (like that word) your dish. You used too much basil and it cooked for a long period of time so I know it had to be too strong. I got sick on too much sesame oil once so I use only a few drops now when I make a dish. I think I tasted that sesame oil for 3 days Yikes! I personally don't think he tasted the tempeh with all that masil and sauce. Maybe he will try a few bites of the linguine dish. I have made it for potluck and people ate it right up, I never said what it was and I'm sure they thought it was clams, not a one was a vegetarian as a matter of fact they are veg-phobes.LOL Donna --- On Fri, 7/18/08, ann1083 <ann1083 wrote: ann1083 <ann1083 Tempeh Recipes Friday, July 18, 2008, 10:20 AM Donna- Thanks for the tempeh recipe site, Donna-- yours looks wonderful. Congratulations! We both love pasta. Actually, I made a crockpot lasagna--I think the problem was it called for 1/2 c fresh basil. We live in a small town & I couldn't get fresh basil so I bought freeze dried. I also read later herbs in the crockpot tend to be stronger--I tried to tell him I thought it was the basil he was objecting to but he's convinced he hates tempeh! Does tempeh have a strong flavor? Thank you so very much! Ann
